CHERP Solar Alliance will soon be a national network of nonprofit organizations which operate solar factories in disinvested communities across our country. Many of these nonprofits will be social enterprise operators with deep experience in operating businesses that train and employ individuals with workforce barriers. In partnership with CHERP, Inc. and other partners, they will develop factory workers’ manufacturing and leadership skills while also providing access to training for other front-line green jobs and careers in green business startup, management, and operations.
CHERP, Inc. and its partner CHERP Solar Enterprises, will collaboratively support the Alliance’s operations in a variety of ways, including:

01
Collective Solutions
Convening factories’ employees and management for collective best practice sharing and problem solving
03
National Contract & Financing Coordination
Securing contracts, and financing when needed, on a national level for large solar projects which multiple factories assemble panels for
02
Strategic Alliances
Forming and managing strategic alliances with innovative companies in complementary industries such as renewable energy storage which creates visibility and sales opportunities for members’ panels
04
Materials & Equipment Purchasing Coordination
Coordinating factories’ materials and equipment purchases in partnership with AMPS and its suppliers
